Your companion and guide tonight is a gentleman of words. Born to a coal miner and a caterer, he has evolved to reject the pursuit of minerals, favouring life on the surface, and in an act of utter disregard for the kitchen, lives as a pescatarian. He is a self-made man with a healthy disregard for financial wealth but with a rapacious hunger for cultural riches. Unable or unwilling to contain his appreciation of this wonderful life, he was an early adopter of the internet. Indeed, if you take a journey through its limitless terrain, right at the core is this blogger, satirist and author. You can find him at alandevey.net where, in addition to his websites you can locate his four books.
